I closed my eyes

We moved across the ballroom;
that shiny dance floor.
I kept my eyes closed
and dreamed of her more.

My thoughts turned like dance steps;
they swirled like bright lights.
My imagination turned real
and attraction took flight.

Then I woke up and opened my eyes once again,
walked into a table and dumped my drink on my friend.
