Just Accept What Is: Romantic IMprov Poem

Why don’t you just accept/

that you like me; /

 that I’m very adept/

at making you feel like you should be?/

That someone could actually care/

and see you for the real Di?/

Who’ll let you pull his hair?/

Why don’t you like that guy/

and accept it’s okay/

to feel that way?/

You are thinking too much,/

and putting your heart out of touch;/

 and removing your soul/

from where it ought to go./

For when you allow yourself to feel,/

maybe you’ll discover and uncover what’s real,/

and that it’s okay/

to feel that way
