Shocking Contrarian Who She Is: Revolutionary ImproVerse Sonnet
April 17, 2014She stands, a woman unfettered./
She speaks her own opinions./
She doesn’t count who’s worse or better./
She won’t be one of the minions.
She’ll speak her own mind./
She’ll phrase her thoughts with boldness./
She’ll avoid being unkind;/
She’ll be honest, nothing less.
She’ll discuss her feelings,/
She’ll speak her deep thoughts,/
She’ll revel in truths appealing;/
She’ll be both teacher and taught.
And men who read her thoughts will wonder and gaze/
As they through both beauty and truth stand all amazed.

I Want A Woman Who’ll Weep For Me: Romantic Improv Prose
January 5, 2014A modern Prophet of God once started an interview with a very important man by looking at his wife and asking her: “Is he a good husband? Does he treat you well?”
What I want is a woman who will stand next to me at the judgment bar in front of the Savior. Like His Prophet did, Jesus will look at her and ask:
“Was he a good husband?”
“Did he treat you well?”
“Is he worthy to enter into the Celestial Kingdom?”
Then, most importantly, the Savior will ask her:
“Is this the man who you want to spend the rest of eternity with, based on how he’s treated you on earth?”
To which she will drop to her knees, look up at Him in all sincerity, and say, with a smile and through tears of joy, hope and gratitude:
“Yes. Yes! YES!! Please, dear Lord, YES!! Let him be mine forever
and ever
and ever!”

Revisiting The Past – Caves and Barriers: Romantic ConTEXTing Poem
May 16, 2011Long ago
I tried 2 rescue a friend,
2 pull her out of caves.
It didn’t work
’til she wanted
2 leave,
2 heed
another’s call.
Now I try
to break down barriers.
Y?
