A friend has a Facebook page, EEK HARMONY. She asked her readers about a guy who had written a VERY LONG introductory email to her… and everyone was telling her to avoid him. This is my response:
This is interesting. How many times have I read on the Eek! :Men never say anything. Men can’t put complete sentences together. Men can’t communicate!
Yet here is a guy who has written something, it’s interesting, it’s actually funny/clever……, yeah, there’s a lot there, how was his profile?
Are you looking for perfection?
My question to you, and to all women, is this poem…
Disqualifying for no good reason: An improv poem.
Why are you are so quick/
to find fault and disqualify?
It must be your schtick.
Do you even try?
The suitor doesn’t have
the right kind of car.
He took you to a drab
out of the way country bar.
Your first meet and greet place
wasn’t exactly what you thought.
The flowers he pushed in your face
aren’t what you wanted brought.
Why are you so bent on rejection?
Are you perfect in your own right?
What sort of Ken Doll perfection
will finally get it right?
Go ahead, find fault, disgard the nice guy, disqualify!
But when you’re lonely, don’t let me hear you cry!See More
