The purpose
of ignoring housekeeping
is not passion,
but gentle sleeping.
If we’re not together curled,
in gentle slumber entwined,
then we should be at some cafe’,
getting wined and dined.
Or if Mother Nature
is what you like,
we should be out
taking a hike.
To check into a room and awake alone
is not what I want. I’ll just stay home.

I, thru the winter wait,/
sleeping hung,/
but now am awake,/
and sprung/
into action/
because of the attraction/
your words create./

As I’ve told/
stories late and bold,/
and been heard/
as I’ve woven wooing words/
into a fantasy/
tapestry,/
some scream./
1 sleeps/
and dreams./
What does that mean?

Are you
not going to
talk to me
any more,
now that we
slept, and you’ve discovered
I snore?
