When you are
in a rose garden
with Abe,
Psyche,
a great spirit warrior,
the Spirit of Life,
a foal and moose,
Paul Revere,
the setting sun,
and America the Beautiful,
you can’t help but weep
with gratitude and joy,
even when a teenaged church class
comes rushing through,
looking for Love
in all the wrong places.
