referred,

she’d find.

I’ll soon learn.

She only wanted
water,
but got talked
into/
a half-price orange
cinnamon roll.

“Cheap!”
she exclaimed, hearing
“A dollar eight cents”.
And I wondered
if she was enthused
by a good deal,
or ridiculing
her first date’s
frugality.
