She knew his stories./
They’d soar and rip up his mind./
She, still, did nothing.

Words can
be
powerful.
Damaging.
Magical.
Wonderful.
Those words
are not
“our word,”
but instead,
our words:
Those that we say
and write
right.
Those words
are also heard
in our heads.
Always ready.
Already steadily
knowing.
Though verbose,
I am not
a master of words.
They are my tools,
at times.
But other times
they scream so loudly
in my head
that they unravel,
unnerve,
weaken,
and destroy me.
To become a master
of words,
I must become the master
of my word-thoughts.

I’m sorry for the intrusion
and adding to your confusion,
but maybe you won’t mind
getting a little behind
if it removes your sad illusion.

Sweet lavender scent./
Memories stretch like spun silk./
They wrap ’round my mind.

Words float,/
rise in my mind,/
fall from my hands./
They see-saw,/
tottering back and forth,/
from creative joy/
2 task/
2 drudgery./
If no1 reads them,
do poems exist?

Why haven’t you,
in the depth of a sigh,
opened your ears and mind
and let me inside?
Why do I need to wait
for that perfect moment in time?
Why should I hesitate
to co-create something sublime?
Why do we
wait, watch and wonder
when we could create and see
things that tear us asunder?
Why do we stand on the sideline of life’s game?
Isn’t it the hesitating that drives us insane?

You cannot miss me
for you always have
my poetry.
It’s what
rises up
from deep inside me.
Read those words
and you’ll come to know
not only my mind,
but my heart and soul.
