I once held her close,/
swayed gently. I could have grabbed/
there; glad I didn’t.

She leaned, languishing,/
against her pillow of silk./
She lay, happily dreaming,/
thinking they were of the same ilk./
She typed away,/
in silence reposed/
and knew not what to say;/
thinking he fittfully dozed./
He didn’t sleep,/
but his mind was racing./
He thought deep;/
His thoughts went chasing./
And he concluded, with great finality,/
that he was glad to find this commonality*.
OR
*that he was glad he’d found his commonality.
