After I posted this Haiku: Remembering Crushing, the woman who inspired it noted that I cut off her face. (I did it to protect her identity). She jokingly commented: “Umm, do you realize you chopped off my head in the picture you posted? lol! Guess it wasn’t my face you were gazing at!”
That, in turn, inspired this poem … and the full photo:

It wasn't her shiny-dressed body he'd always crushed on

She’d thought it was her/
nearly perfect body he’d/
crushed on. It wasn’t.
