Though a man of peace,/
I am condemned to live life/
hearing freeway noise.
Growing up in Milwaukee, I could hear the freeway less than a mile away. I vowed never to live so close that I could hear the trucks passing by in the night.
In California, I lived less than a block away from Highway 101.
In Seattle, I lived less than a mile away from I-405.
Now, in Utah, I live within 1/2 mile of I-15.
