I Am There: Revolutionary ConTEXTing Poem

When people need help,/
I am there./
When people need to be heard,/
I am there./

When people seek for safety,/
for sanity,/
To escape from crazed humanity,/
I hope they turn /
to me./
I am there.

But even more,/
I hope I am there/
to listen to me.
To give myself clarity.
To escape my own vanity./
To clear the insanity.
May I always be there/
and care/
for me./

Even if no one else is.

That is one of the most beautiful and inciteful poems that I have ever read. Sometimes I forget to remember that taking care of me is as important as taking care of others — and sometimes being the best one to do that is a good thing. Thank you. . .
