At the Victoria, BC “Remembering Glenna” celebration of Glenna Evan’s life, the juxtaposition of her photo and these thistle blossoms gave me insight and muse for this Haiku:
Out of thistle’d thorns,/
first beauty, then art, passion,/
now understanding.
